Generated explanation

The illustration shows a two-piece metal counter flashing assembly at a low-slope roof-to-stucco-wall intersection, with an inset showing its location along a house wall. In section, the modified bitumen roof membrane turns up the wall as base flashing, overlapped by a removable counter flashing portion. The removable portion engages a permanent portion set beneath the stucco, and a hem at its lower edge is recommended for rigidity. A vertical dimension indicates 8 to 14 inches from the roof membrane level to the top of the base flashing. The inset specifies that metal counter flashing sections should not exceed 10 feet in length, and a note states that no cant strip is shown.
