Generated explanation

The illustration shows electrical cables routed through an exposed wood-stud wall with top and bottom plates and an electrical box mounted to a stud. One cable runs vertically alongside a stud, while another passes horizontally through holes in the framing and bends downward near the bottom plate. Staples secure the cables along vertical runs, near the electrical box, and where cables change direction. The annotations specify staple spacing of 4-1/2 feet in the USA and 5 feet in Canada, and stapling within 12 inches of electrical boxes. Cables passing through holes in framing members are identified as not requiring staples at those locations.
