Generated explanation

The illustration shows three wiring routes perpendicular to wood floor joists. One cable passes through bored holes in the joists, a location labeled as permitted for all wires. A second cable is stapled directly to the undersides of the joists, with a note limiting this installation to #8/3 wires or larger. A third cable is stapled along a wood running board mounted beneath the joists, also labeled as permitted for all wires.
