Text in the illustration

tamper-resistant receptacles won’t allow paperclips, keys, etc. into either the hot or neutral slot
plugs go in normally because both slots see a blade

Generated explanation

The illustration shows two duplex tamper-resistant electrical receptacles with cover plates. On the left, a paperclip is positioned at an upper receptacle beneath a red prohibition symbol, indicating that foreign objects cannot be inserted into either the hot or neutral slot. On the right, a two-blade cord plug is positioned for insertion beside a green check mark. The annotations explain that normal plug insertion is permitted because both slots receive a blade together.
