Generated explanation

The cross-section shows a gas fireplace above floor framing, supplied by flexible copper tubing connected to gas piping in the basement. An exterior gas meter and regulator connect to piping that passes through the foundation wall, with a labelled shutoff valve upstream of the flexible tubing. The tubing curves upward through the floor to the fireplace. Installation notes call for vertical and horizontal support every six feet and prohibit unions and swing joints in concealed areas. A separate note states that some areas require the gas valve to be in the same room as the appliance.
