Generated explanation

A cross section of a two-story house shows a basement supply plenum and supply duct serving a vertical duct route within a first-floor wall. Dashed lines indicate the wall framing and duct route in the area opened during renovation. Removing this wall also removes the supply duct serving two second-floor rooms. The annotations warn that existing registers may remain without attached ductwork, although replacement ductwork is sometimes installed, and call for careful inspection.
