Generated explanation

The illustration shows a gas furnace burner assembly with a common gas manifold feeding four ribbon burners, with flames along their tops. A circular enlargement details the intermittent pilot and adjacent spark igniter mounted on a bracket. The igniter connects to a power supply, while the pilot receives gas through tubing from the gas valve. An annotation explains that a spark across the igniter air gap lights the pilot flame. Additional notes identify possible flame-sensor locations near the pilot or a ribbon burner and state that crossover igniters are omitted for clarity.
