Generated explanation

The illustration shows an oil furnace connected to a chimney by a metal exhaust flue connector. Elbows raise the connector from the furnace outlet to a nearly horizontal run entering the chimney at the left. The annotation specifies a rise of 1/4 inch per foot toward the chimney, and two overhead supports secure the connector. A circular draft-control fitting is shown near the chimney connection. Cold-air return and hot-air supply ducts connect to the top of the furnace, and an oil burner is mounted low on its right side.
