Generated explanation

A building cross section shows a basement boiler connected by wiring to an air temperature sensor mounted on the interior face of the foundation wall. An exterior temperature probe is mounted on the outside of the wall near grade and connected to the sensor. An enlarged detail shows the sensor housing and its temperature-setting dial. Red and blue boiler piping includes arrows indicating upward flow on the red pipe and downward flow on the blue pipe. The illustration identifies the outdoor-temperature sensing arrangement without depicting a defect.
