Generated explanation

The illustration shows a hot-water heating boiler with a draft hood, exhaust flue, and vent damper above it. A spillage switch is highlighted at the lower edge of the draft hood, with wiring extending toward the boiler. The annotation explains that high temperatures sensed at the draft hood cause the switch to shut down the burner. Red hot-water piping connects to an expansion tank, while blue return piping connects to a circulating pump at the side of the boiler. Additional valves and a downward discharge pipe are shown alongside the boiler.
