Generated explanation

The illustration shows an open distribution panel supplied from a service box, with two outgoing circuits to electric space heaters. One circuit uses conventional cable with a white conductor marked with black tape; the other uses red-sheathed heater cable containing red and black conductors. Grounding terminals, neutral bus bars, and the incoming ground wire are identified within the panel. The drawing specifies that the fuses or breakers for 240-volt electric heaters must be linked together. The conventional-wiring annotation says the tape shows the white conductor is 'not a hot wire,' an apparent wording error in the printed illustration.
