Generated explanation

The illustration shows an electric plenum heater installed in the supply duct connected to the hot-air plenum of a wood furnace. An exposed face of the heater reveals banks of electric heating elements inside the duct opening. An electrical supply cable connects to a box on the side of the heater assembly. Arrows identify return air entering the furnace ductwork and supply air leaving through a dashed-outline duct extension downstream of the heater. No defects or improper installation practices are identified.
