Generated explanation

The illustration shows an electric forced-air furnace with a cold-air return duct and an overhead supply plenum. An open section of the furnace exposes a bank of heating elements and associated wiring. Thermometers indicate measurement locations at the return and supply plenum, labeled with typical temperatures of 70°F and 120°F to 125°F, respectively. The annotation recommends further investigation when temperature rise across the heating elements is excessive, identified here as a plenum temperature above 130°F. A note states that this test goes beyond standards.
