Air Conditioning – Don’t Test When Cold Air Conditioning – Compressor Compressor – Air Conditioning

Text in the illustration

air conditioning shouldn't be tested when the temperature is below 65°F or when the power hasn't been on to the unit for at least 12 to 24 hours as the compressor could seize

Generated explanation

The illustration shows an outdoor air-conditioning condensing unit beside a house, with lines connecting it to the building. Snowflakes indicate cold weather, and a red prohibition symbol overlays the unit. The annotation warns against testing air conditioning below 65°F or when power has not been supplied to the unit for at least 12 to 24 hours. Compressor seizure is identified as a possible consequence of testing under these conditions; no actual compressor damage is shown.
