Generated explanation

The illustration shows a cutaway of a scroll compressor with a motor and crankshaft below the fixed and orbiting scroll assembly. Arrows indicate flow into the lower suction tube and out through the upper discharge connection, where a discharge thermostat is identified. Counterweights and heavy duty ball bearings are shown around the shaft, with an oil pump extending into the oil reservoir at the bottom of the housing. A separate plan view shows the interleaved fixed and orbiting scrolls, with curved arrows indicating motion. The schematic explains compressor construction without depicting defects.
