Generated explanation

The illustration shows an air-conditioning evaporator coil above a furnace, with adjacent cold-air return ductwork and a supply plenum. A condensate line carries water from the evaporator coil to a condensate pump mounted beside the return duct. The pump discharge line rises upward, with an arrow indicating that water is typically pumped to the exterior. An enlarged pump cross section shows the water reservoir, electric motor and pump, float switch, and filter, with arrows indicating water flow. No defect or improper installation is identified.
