Generated explanation

Four sequential diagrams show the operation of a bladder-type pressure tank connected to a well pump, pressure switch, and outlet faucet. Panel A shows the initial installation state with 30 PSI air pressure, the pump off, and the water outlet closed. Panel B shows the pressure switch activating the pump, with water entering beneath the diaphragm and air at 40 PSI. Panel C shows the pump running until the tank is filled and the pressure switch is satisfied, with both air and water labeled 50 PSI. Panel D shows water discharging from the open faucet under tank pressure while the pump is off, with air pressure reduced to 45 PSI. A note states that the pressures shown are approximate.
