Generated explanation

The illustration shows a compression fitting connecting a supply tube to a toilet shutoff valve. An exploded view shows the supply tube passing through a compression nut and compression ring into the threaded valve connection. A circular cross section shows how the nut confines the compression ring around the tube at the valve body. A side view of a toilet locates the shutoff valve below the tank, between the wall supply piping and the vertical tank supply tube. No defects or improper installation practices are depicted.
