Generated explanation

The cross section shows a gas storage water heater in a basement beside a foundation wall. A blower mounted on top of the heater discharges through an ABS or PVC exhaust vent that rises and runs horizontally through the foundation wall to the exterior. Red and blue piping identifies the hot-water outlet and cold-water supply, and a gas line connects to the lower portion of the heater. An enlarged detail shows the blower assembly, junction box, pressure switch and tubing, and a clamped rubber coupling connecting the blower discharge to the exhaust vent. Floor framing, the basement slab, and exterior soil establish the installation context; no specific defect is identified.
