Generated explanation

The illustration shows an alternate island sink drainage and venting arrangement, with a note that it is not permitted in all areas. A 1-1/2-inch sink tailpiece feeds a trap whose horizontal outlet is marked 8 inches minimum and 6 feet maximum before turning downward into a 2-inch pipe. The vertical drop to the underfloor drain is marked 36 inches maximum. Below the floor framing, a 2-1/2-inch drain marked as having no length restriction runs to a vertical pipe in a nearby wall. That wall pipe extends upward as a vent and includes an accessible cleanout above the floor.
