Generated explanation

A cross section of an attached garage shows an automatic garage door opener mounted beneath the floor framing of the house above. The opener's rail and connecting arm operate a sectional overhead door riding in curved tracks, with a release cord hanging below the rail. An extension cord runs from a wall receptacle to the opener, and a red prohibition symbol marks the cord connection as improper. The annotations state that extension cords cannot be used for automatic garage door openers in many areas and that a receptacle must be provided near the opener, with a GFI outlet required in some jurisdictions.
