Generated explanation

The cross section depicts an exterior basement walkout stairwell with a drain at the bottom landing adjacent to the basement door. Concrete stairs rise to an exterior landing, with a sloped handrail and an upper guard. A circular detail marked with a red X shows an exterior drain trap and warns that it can freeze in winter. A second detail marked with a green check shows the walkout drain connected to the basement floor drain trap inside the building instead.
