Generated explanation

The illustration shows a small sloped roof covering an entrance porch, with a gutter along its lower edge. A short outlet elbow at the gutter end is highlighted as an alternative to a full-height downspout. The annotations state that this arrangement is acceptable provided it does not cause excessive erosion. A full-height downspout route is also illustrated beside the porch post, discharging onto a concrete splash block with an arrow indicating flow away from the porch.
