Generated explanation

A cutaway interior wall shows wood studs supporting rectangular gypsum lath panels beneath a plaster finish. The lath is installed horizontally with staggered vertical joints and visible fasteners at the framing. On the finished portion, horizontal and vertical shadow lines reveal the pattern of the underlying lath joints. A dashed circle highlights this shadow effect on the plaster surface.
