Generated explanation

The illustration shows two adjacent divided-light hung windows in a wood frame. A callout identifies a broken sash cord along the right-hand window jamb. Motion lines show the lower sash falling toward a person's hand at the sill, and cracks are visible in the glazing. The annotations warn that defective double-hung, single-hung, and self-storing storm windows can fall unexpectedly, causing hand injuries or window damage.
