Generated explanation

Three perspective views of gable-roofed houses illustrate different roof deformation patterns. The roof-spreading example shows bowed roof edges, with dashed reference lines indicating straight alignment. The dishing example uses curved shingle courses to show a depression within the field of the roof. The sagging example shows a depressed ridge profile relative to a dashed straight reference line and identifies sagging of the rafter or ridge system. The underlying framing is not exposed.
