Generated explanation

The illustration shows overhead electrical service drop clearances in Canada using two elevation diagrams. The upper diagram shows wires extending from a utility pole toward a house, with clearances labeled 20 feet above a roadway, 15 feet above a driveway, and 8 to 10 feet above a flat roof. A separate 24-inch vertical dimension is shown between the wire and the roof edge near the house connection. The lower diagram labels clearances of 15 feet above pedestrian-only areas and 20 feet above a roadway. A red prohibition symbol over a house beneath the wires emphasizes that running service wires above roofs is discouraged.
