watch for loose mast clamps
a drip loop pulled tight is a good indication that the mast is under stress or bent
masts are often bent because of stresses on the service drop (e.g., tree branches falling on the wires)

Generated explanation

Two house elevations illustrate bent electrical service masts carrying overhead service-drop connections. Each mast runs up an exterior wall from a meter enclosure and bends near its upper end toward the service wires. The left example calls attention to loose mast clamps, while the right identifies a drip loop pulled tight as evidence of stress or bending. The bottom annotation explains that loads on service-drop wires, such as falling tree branches, often cause mast bending.
