Generated explanation

The illustration shows a trickle-type humidifier for a forced-air heating system, with airflow indicated from the supply plenum through the unit toward the return duct. A water supply tube feeds a perforated distribution tray at the top, whose cover is shown clear. A separate cross section shows water trickling down a replaceable metal mesh cartridge and leaving through a drain at the bottom. A humidistat is connected to the solenoid on the water supply line. No defects or improper installation practices are indicated.
