Generated explanation

The illustration shows a cross section of a wood-fired forced-air furnace with a blower, burning logs in the firebox, and cold-air and hot-air ducts. Arrows indicate cold air moving downward toward the blower and heated air rising into the supply duct. A vent connector runs from the furnace to the left, with a barometric damper installed in its horizontal section. A dashed circle highlights the damper, and an inspection checklist identifies conditions to check rather than showing a specific failure.
