Generated explanation

A cutaway house diagram shows secondary attic spaces in a 1-1/2- or 2-1/2-story house with an addition. Knee wall attics lie along the low sides of the steeply pitched main roof, outside the knee walls enclosing the upper living space. A small upper attic sits above the upper-story ceiling near the roof ridge. A separate secondary attic is shown over the lower addition, with a labeled access hatch in its floor. Additional access openings are illustrated in the knee walls and upper ceiling; no insulation installation or defects are depicted.
