Generated explanation

Two sectional diagrams compare insulation strategies for the attic space behind a knee wall. Option A places insulation in the knee wall and attic floor, with an air/vapor barrier on the warm side and a roof vent above the attic space. Blocking beneath the knee wall prevents air leakage from the area above the living-space ceiling into the attic. Option B places insulation along the sloped roof and end walls, bringing the space behind the knee wall within the insulated enclosure rather than insulating the knee wall and floor.
