Generated explanation

The illustration shows a gas-fired storage water heater with a top-mounted draft hood and vent connector, cold-water connection, and external gas supply piping. A magnified detail shows the lower burner access area with the burner cover removed, exposing the heat roll out shield and gas tubing below the thermostat control. Orange flame shapes extend outward at the burner opening, illustrating a flame rollout hazard. The annotation directs inspectors to look for scorching around the shield, gas valve, gas tubing, and exterior of the tank.
