Generated explanation

The illustration presents four plumbing trap configurations identified as illegal: an S trap, a crown-vented trap, a bell trap, and a drum trap. The S trap connects a fixture inlet through a U-shaped bend and an inverted bend to a downward discharge pipe. The crown-vented trap has a fixture inlet and a U-shaped bend connected directly to a vertical riser with a horizontal branch. The bell trap is shown in section beneath a grate, with a dome-shaped bell covering the top of a central outlet pipe. The drum trap has a large chamber with a top access cover, a horizontal side connection, and a lower side connection that turns upward.
