Generated explanation

Two cutaway toilet diagrams compare siphon vortex and siphon jet flushing actions. Both show water flowing from the tank through rim openings into the bowl and then through the integral trapway to the drain beneath the floor. The siphon vortex diagram depicts swirling water at the bottom of the bowl, while the siphon jet diagram shows an additional water passage supplying a jet directed toward the trapway. Arrows indicate flushing flow, and a note specifies that the illustrated water levels are during flushing. The siphon jet arrangement is annotated as providing a quieter flush and being typically found on more expensive toilets.
