Generated explanation

The illustration shows an electronic air cleaner installed in the cold-air return beside a gas furnace, with the supply plenum indicated above the furnace. An exploded view shows prefilters on the return-air side, electronic cells in the middle, and optional charcoal filters on the blower side. An airflow arrow indicates movement through the cells toward the blower. A magnified detail explains that highly charged wires charge dust particles and oppositely charged plates attract and hold the dust. A test button is identified near the bottom of the installed cleaner cabinet.
