Generated explanation

The illustration pairs an exterior view of a freestanding wood stove with a cross section of a stove connected to a masonry chimney. The exterior view shows the cabinet or shell, loading door, legs, and stovepipe. The cross section shows burning logs in the combustion chamber and a lined base. Red arrows trace combustion gases around an internal baffle, up the vent connector, and through an elbow into the chimney. The chimney is shown in section with a flue liner and a lower access opening.
