Generated explanation

The illustration shows a laundry tub draining through a trap into a pump mounted beneath the tub. The pump lifts wastewater through a vertical discharge pipe, which turns horizontally and connects through a check valve to the main waste line. Blue arrows indicate flow from the tub to the pump and onward into the waste line. Three inspection annotations instruct the inspector to fill the tub and start the pump, check for proper operation, leaks, excess noise or vibration, and trace the discharge pipe for proper termination and a check valve if required. No specific defect is depicted.
